Presentation of our IP law firm

Cabinet Vièl was founded in 1998 by Christof Vièl in Grosbliederstroff, in the heart of the Sarre/Lorraine/Luxembourg region. Since 2021, we also have a secondary office in Colmar.

Our firm offers its services in all industrial property fields: patents, trade marks, designs. Due to our trilingual team, we have specialised in German French aspects of intellectual property.

  • We first check your needs in the field of intellectual property.
  • We represent you before the intellectual property offices for obtaining your industrial property rights.
  • We assist you in maintaining them and help you to defend them.
  • We explore with you the risks that the industrial rights of third parties represents.
  • We assist you in negotiating and drafting your contracts.
  • We establish technological watch strategies.

We are in a position to represent you directly before :

  • the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) in Paris;
  • the Belgian Institute of Intellectual Property (OPRI) in Brussels,
  • the European Patent Office (EPO) in Munich;
  • the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in Alicante responsible for European Union trade marks and community designs;
  • the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) in Geneva, responsible for international patent applications as well as international trade marks and designs.

We work in close collaboration with Vièl & Wieske in Sarrebruck in Germany, where Christof Vièl also works as a German patent attorney, as well as with many colleagues throughout the world, with whom we work in a spirit of trust and mutual interest.

Our strong points: Proximity, reactivity, multidisciplinarity
